In 1983, the founding members introduced the product as Health Mate Saunas™. The Far Infrared Sauna was well received by consumers due to its ease of use and unique capabilities. Within a few years of business, the opinions of the company's executives began to evolve as the popularity of the Far Infrared Sauna brought newer opportunities. This was the only Far Infrared Sauna brand in existence then, so the dilemma was whether they would mass produce and attempt at exponential growth, or maintain production for steady increase.
By 1986, the executives split their shares due to conflicting plans for the Far Infrared Sauna's future. Our company's side kept the original sources of technology and manufacturing. The other side kept the Health Mate trademark and began manufacturing with different parts in China to mass produce. The EZe Products™ brand was formed to maintain offering the true and exclusive Far Infrared technology from Japan while producing saunas in Seoul, Korea and Southern California, U.S.A. until June of 2008.
